The Organizational Profile of Karnafully Foundation
Karnafully Foundation (KF) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-government social development organization working for poverty alleviation and empowering backward communities through providing support to financial access & services by involving diverse innovative program approaches.
The organization has been implementing development projects/programs with its own funding & initiatives with built-in effective partnerships of Government Departments, Civil Society Organizations, Private Sectors, Local and International NGOs and to ensure better health, safety, and well-being for the poorest and most deprived people of the rural communities in the hill regions and to build an egalitarian society where all people of the community can realize their right to a quality and dignified life.
The organization is promoting sustainable livelihood, women empowerment, gender inclusiveness, awareness & advocacy, promotion of on-farm and off-farm technology in agriculture including livestock and fisheries, food safety, health & nutrition, WASH, youth development and employment creation, DRR & CCA, access to safe drinking water, sub-sector wise value chain development. We believe that sustainable poverty alleviation is possible only when the poor engage in efficient economic activities. So our motto is “Innovation, Progress and Development” thus becomes essential.
The organization is guided by three operating principles: building local capacity, strengthening community institutions, and encouraging community-based leadership, and following strategies for creating sustainable rural development through rights-based approaches and empowering women. Presently we are searching for new projects for local, government, and international donors so that our work can be extended to different parts of the country with an emphasis on the Northern and western parts of Bangladesh.
