LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Learning leadership skills is very beneficial for youth and children. KF supports Youth who participate in organizational leadership roles, planning activities, making presentations, and participating in extra-curricular activities showing higher levels of self-efficacy, self-advocacy, and self-determination. Youth development and youth leadership experiences can have positive effects on behaviors and skills including self-efficacy, self-determination, communication, and problem-solving. Each of these skills is linked to higher student achievement, lower dropout rates, and/or better post-school outcomes.
POVERTY REDUCTION
Poverty reduction is one of the major thematic areas of Karnafully Foundation's program operations and a lion's share of the fund is utilized in micro-credit programs towards poverty alleviation by generating income and improving the living standard of the target people.
PARTICIPATION
People’s participation is a very crucial part of program operation as it creates ownership among them which is essential to make the program sustainable. KF tries to involve project participants at all stages of the project circle for long-term sustainability.
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Karnafully Foundation has been very much concerned about the empowerment of women. KF strongly believes that economic emancipation of the women can make them empowered which may also help to establish their social status. Keeping this reality in mind, KF has been working with most of the urban and rural poor women.
PROMOTING GOOD GOVERNANCE, DEMOCRACY & HUMAN RIGHTS
Governance, Democracy, and Human Rights are correlated. KF has long been working in this field in view of promoting human rights, democracy, and good governance by raising awareness among the grass-root people, election observation, and strengthening the legislative system of the country through bridging the gap between civil society and legislative organs.
ADVOCACY AND NETWORKING
Under this thematic area, Karnafully Foundation always tries its best for advocating the issues of public interest influencing policymakers/stakeholders through lobbying, seminar, workshop, forming alliances,s and networking at the local, regional, and national levels.
